Jennifer Jambon, of Carlos Cramer Productos Aromáticos in Santiago, won the Prix International du Parfumeur Createur 2008 in Paris recently, with her creation Promenade.
The jury commented that the 30-year-old’s entry was both original and the closest to the competition brief – a feminine composition based on a nature passage from Henri Bosco’s book Mas Théotime.
Ms Jambon’s interpretation evokes the feeling of a walk after a rainy spring day, starting from a clearing and continuing into the heart of a dark and dense forest.
The winning fragrance comprised of damp green notes with ozonic fresh accords, encompassing iris and violet leaf and ending with more intense notes of patchouli and amber.
“I love creating and enjoyed every minute of this creation even though it was a difficult challenge,” Ms Jambon said.
Cramer supplies fragrances to the perfumery, beauty, personal care, household and industrial product industries in Latin America, with production plants in Chile, Brazil and USA.
