Serge Lutens has brought his latest fragrant vision to the market with the intriguingly named Nuit de Cellophane - literally night of cellophane. There has been much speculation about the origin of the name, discussing topics as diverse as the wrap around florists bouquets and the fetish shows following the discovery of cellophane in the early 1900s.
Osmanthus, white florals and a fruity hit of apricots and mandarin are the delicate notes that make up this soft addition to the beige collection.
The fragrance is available now through Aedes De Venustas (aedes.com) and other Serge Lutens stockists retailing at $120 for 1.69oz (50ml)
