Penhaligon's nod to a thoroughly English tradition for Britain's Mother's Day
Quintessentially English house Penhaligon's has launched a collection of scented candles in time for Mother's Day - celebrated in Britain on Sunday March 22nd this year.

The "Thank Goodness for Tea" collection consists of four multi-wick candles.  Each candle has a burn time of 110 hours and all are inspired by the British tradition of afternoon tea.

"Ritual Tea" is described as "Golden Fruits, rich rose and smooth sherry wrapped in the lightest veil of smoke and citrus".  Penhaligon's recommends this candle for Earl Grey drinkers.  The candle is presented in yellow hat-box style packaging.

"Harmony Tea" contains citrus, aniseed, woods, jasmine and heliotrope and aligns itself with chai fans.  Harmony is presented in green packaging.

"Hot Tea", for those who prefer Assam in their pot, is "a bright and sunny blend, celebrating white flowers with a sultry musky finish".  The packaging is a vivid mandarin.

"Hypnotic Tea" blends citrus, orange blossom, jasmine and rose with "spiced woods and rounded balms".  The Lady Grey drinker's choice comes in a striking orange 'hat-box'.

Each candle retails for £85 but if you have trouble choosing you can buy all four fragrance in miniature.  The set of four candles, each with a 20 hour burning time retails for £55.  In order to ensure delivery in time for Mother's Day place your order by March 17th online or by calling Penhaligon's By Request on 0800 716 108.end of article
