Dominique Ropion's Geranium Pour Monsieur available from Frederic Malle May 2009

As previously reported on
Basenotes, a new scent is to be launched next month in the Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle range.
Geranium Pour Monsieur (with thanks to Dimitri for his contribution on the
boards!), is described by Malle himself as "a clean brisk alternative to the all-too mundane fern-type smells that dominate men's perfumery." He also notes that the Dominique Ropion creation features raw materials that bring together "the beauty of nature and the prescision of the digital era".
The top notes are listed as mint absolute (molecular distillation), peppermint oil, gernaium oil, rhodinol, anethol and floralozone. Cinnamon CO2 and clove oil sit at the heart, whilst white musk, ambroxan, sandalwood, incense resinoid and styrax benzoin feature in the base.
The fragrance will be available from the usual Frederic Malle stockists, including
Les Senteurs in England,
Barney's in the US and
Beauty Affair in Germany, as of May 2009.
