Honoré des Prés hits UK with organic fragrance range
by Danielle Cooper, 01 July 2009

The line is said to have been inspired by Honoré des Prés' sister, Bonté and her circle of friends, when they spent an afternoon in a cafe lamenting the fragrances that triggered asthma attacks and the fact that there were few natural ones that were to to their liking.
Sourced in Grasse, France, the totally organic components for the range - all ECOCERT - were gathered in collaboration with Robertet and are all farmed using organic methods. The juice itself does not contain petrochemical products, synthetic perfumes, colouring agents or phthalates. It is also produced without animal testing or ingredients of animal origin.
Olivia Giacobetti is the nose behind four of the five of the fragrances with the fifth being a creation of Honoré himself. Giacobetti described the endeavour as "a divine pretext to experience raw ingredients." The perfumer has also created for L'Artisian Parfumeur, Guerlain, Frédéric Malle and her own line, IUNX.
Chamen's Party, Bonte's Bloom, Nu Green and Sexy Angelic are Olivia's creation whilst Honoré's Trip is from des Prés. Chamen's Party, Nu Green and Honoré's Trip are designed to be worn by either sex, whilst Bonté's Bloom and Sexy Angelic are described as feminine fragrances. The scents range from a crackling bonfire of incense (Chamen's Party) to a light and oceanic sea breeze (Nu Green) and variously feature sunflowers, angelica, mandarins and mint.
All of the scents are available in 100ml eau de toilette sprays and are presented in a smooth, heavy glass pebble of a bottle. The bottle is enveloped in an expandable cardboard box with an orange slip that features the company's floral logo.
Available in the UK from Les Senteurs. Internationally, fragrance outlets in France, The US and Russia stock Honoré Des Prés currently, including Printemps de la Beauté in Paris, Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Aroma Teka in Moscow. A full list of stockists is available on the company website at www.honoredespres.com
