Bond No.9 new launch annouced: Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York
by Danielle Cooper, 02 July 2009

The signature flacon, which for this scent is black, features a take on the iconic dollar sign that Warhol depicted in his work. The name for the scent comes from Warhol's beginnings as the definitive artist of the pop art movement - his first commission as an illustrator was an illustration for a Glamour magazine entitled "Success is a Job in New York".
The juice is inspired by Andy Warhol's fascination with the connections between art and money. The scent is billed as genderless "just like money...a warm and spicy gourmand". The top notes used to reflect the almighty dollar are coriander, cardamom, mandarin and bergamot. Middle notes of jasmine, tuberose, rose, plum and pimento lead into a base of vanilla, amber and patchouli.
Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York is the fourth Andy Warhol fragrance that Bond No.9 have created. Their works have been commissioned by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Inc. This non-profit organisation was established in 1987 to promote the visual arts in accordance with Andy Warhol's will. The foundation has awarded over 1,700 cash grants totalling more than $70 million. For more information visit www.warholfoundation.org.
The fragrance will be available from Bond No.9 stores and concessions from October 1st 2009 retailing at $220 for 100ml and $145 for 50ml
