Penhaligon's launch Amaranthine
by Danielle Cooper, 23 July 2009

Amaranthine opens with a flurry of Green notes and white flowers, falling through a heart of florals it dries down to a rich gourmand with tones of warm milk and vanilla. The opening comes courtesy of green tea, white freesia and cardamom absolute followed by a heart of rose, carnation and Egyptian absolute. The gourmand finish is the result of including vanilla and tonka bean absolute in the base alongside sandalwood and musk.
Whilst the eau de parfum is available in 50ml and 100ml signature Penhaligon's bottles, the limited edition parfum is available in 30ml which is presented in a hand-crafted crystal and silver bottle with a luxurious gold plated dipper to apply the scent to the skin. To complete the story Penhaligon's have commissioned jewellery designer Alex Monroe to create a silver butterfly charm bracelet which sits around the neck of the limited edition bottle and compliments an entire range of jewellery including earrings, a necklace and a charm bracelet featuring butterflies and dragonflies.
The entire range of products will be available from October instore and online retailing at £60 for 50ml edp, £85 for 100ml edp and £350 for the limited edition parfum.
