Boadicea the Victorious backs Bill Clinton Foundation

Michael Boadi, the man behind British Brand Boadicea the Victorious supported Bill Clinton's Foundation at a charity event on Friday night. The Millennium Network Charity Gala was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Friday Oct 30th to raise awareness of the issues that the Millennium Network seeks to confront.

The charity has run successful events in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles and now hopes to reach a more global audience. Designed to reach out to the under 45's - as the Network puts it the next generation of leaders and philanthropists - and engage them in the Network's efforts to tackle HIV/AIDS, climate change and economic opportunity across the world. The charity has gathered together 5,000 members since it began campaigning in 2007.

Michael Boadi met with Mr Clinton at the event, and rumour has it that the former US president is a fan of Pure whilst Hilary Clinton is very taken with Adventuress. To further support Mr Clinton's efforts Boadi has pledged a percentage of the sale of three of his fragrances, Pure (a citrus with white jasmine and rose at the heart and a base of amber, sandalwood and oakmoss), Adventuress (featuring peach and ginger with a base of musk and mysore sandalwood) and Intuitive (white woods and musks with vetiver and citrus notes), to the charity. He told Basenotes "I really believe in these causes. Both of my parents are from Ghana and HIV/AIDS is a huge problem there. It must be addressed." In other news, Michael Boadi will have lots to celebrate this month with the anniversary of his brand, a spot in Les Senteurs and Roullier White and his birthday all happening in November.
