Maurer & Wirtz to buy 4711
German company, Maurer & Wirtz, is to buy the 4711 brand from Procter & Gamble, it was announced today.

Maurer & Wirtz, famous for the Nonchalance, Tabac Original and Betty Barclay fragrances, will also take over ownership of the 4711 shop in Cologne, as well as the Tosca, Sir Irisch Moos and Extase fragrances. Not included in the deal is the Muelhen's/4711 perfume factory in Cologne, which will remain under ownership of Procter & Gamble.end of article
