Unilever not to sell fragrance brands

Unilever Group considers Calvin Klein cosmetics to be one of its core brands, said Unilever NV chairman Anthony Burgmans. Asked about rumours that the company is planning to sell the brand, he said: "Calvin Klein is one of the 400 (key) brands" that Unilever plans to retain in its product portfolio. Last month the Financial Times reported that Unilever wants to sell its international cosmetics division, which includes the perfumes of Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino and Cerruti.

Interestingly, Unilever said Elizabeth Arden was one of its top brands before selling it a few months later.end of article
