Why become a Basenotes Supporting Member?

You help Basenotes survive. Running Basenotes costs money, and the more popular the site becomes, the more it costs to run. By supporting Basenotes you ensure its continued existence and help us to provide extra features on the site.

To thank you for your support, we can offer the following benefits to you.

  • Instant posting of reviews . Currently we have to manually check each fragrance review for inappropriate content submitted before we post it to the site. We would like to think that people who support Basenotes will only post suitable reviews, therefore as a Supporting Member your reviews will appear automatically. (Reviews will still be checked for inappropriate content)
  • Private forum: Supporting members have access to their own private forum, inaccessible to non-subscribers.
  • Choose from 500+ wardrobe icons . Supporting members can choose from over 500 different wardrobe icons to appear in their Community posts
  • Access to Market Place: All Supporting members can post new threads in the Market Place. regardless of join date or post count.
  • Larger Private Message Box Supporting members get larger storage for Private Messages: 1000 instead of 100
  • Special Badge : Supporting Members will have a badge by their name in their community posts to show their support.
  • An advertisement free forum experience : Supporters have the forum stripped from banner ads
  • Private notes : Supporting Members can make private notes that are saved in the fragrance directory.
  • Download Wardrobe : Supporting Members can download their wardrobe to a Tab delimited / CSV file to import into Excel.
  • Warm glow : Supporting Members can feel good about themselves for helping Basenotes keep going.

We will be adding new features to the site for Supporting members over the coming months.

Sounds good! So how much does all this cost?

Supporting membership costs just $5 a month, you can do a whole year for $50 or $200 for 5 years.

But the internet is supposed to be free - I'm not paying to use Basenotes!

You don't have to pay to use Basenotes - your functionality of the website will not differ by not becoming a Supporting Member. Everyone will still be able to browse the directory, maintain their Fragrance Wardrobes, post to the forum and enjoy the many other features available on the site. Becoming a Supporting Member gives you enhancements to your Basenotes experience.

PayPal verificationHow do I subscribe?

$5 is taken automatically each month, so you do not have to keep doing this every month. You can cancel at any time via your Paypal account. Alternatively, you can pay yearly at $50. Again this is taken automatically on a yearly basis.
