Olivier Durbano’s latest gem is Citrine. Citrine is a variety of Quartz, whose yellow colour comes from small amounts of iron oxides in the metal. Robert Piguet are showing their Swarovski bottles of Fracas, which are available exclusively in the Black Hall in Harrods. Visa will also be available in the same bottle. The large 1 litre bottle is £8,500 and the 60ml is a slightly more affordable £700.

Olivia Giacobetti has worked with Lubin again to produce an Eau de Parfum version of Idole, which is more ambery than the eau de toilette. Lubin also have a limited edition fragrance, Black Jade.

The fragrance exhibition, Pitti Fragranze, started yesterday and showcased all the new fragrances from niche and artisanal perfumery. New houses such as Blood Concept and So Oud are in attendance as well as older houses like Creed, Penhaligon’s and Lubin.

Over the next weekend, Pitti Immagine Fragranze is held in Florence. The fragrance fair, which will feature over 160 houses from the world of artistic niche perfumery, is in its ninth year. Fragranze will also host events, previews and press conferences, organised by Pitti Immagine and the exhibitors, with the spotlight firmly on the stars of the world of perfumes.
The fair begins this Friday, but on Saturday 10th September, the doors are open to the general public, more info and ticket costs are available here.

Penhaligon's launch their latest fragrance, Juniper Sling, in the UK on Monday. The fragrance, created by Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp, is described by Penhaligon's as "inspired by the most iconic and atmospheric of spirits: London Dry Gin. [It] is a playful, chilled and mysterious homage to the Bright Young Things of London’s roaring twenties"
