As I’ve said in the past one of the reasons I’m doing SotW is to see whether the actions of the community match up to the words on the forums. Over the last couple of weeks there have been three opportunities for me to check whether our words as a community match our actions in what we wear.

For the month of June I decided to wear nothing but samples. As there were a couple of days off for SSD’s I decided to extend it until July 5th so there would be 29 scents sampled in all. In Part I the first 13 scents were discussed and now in Part II the remaining 16.
Guerlain Jicky---Made for a man but loved by women especially the women of Basenotes. I’ve been dying to try this since noticing that this is the ladies’ equivalent to Terre D’Hermes as far as how many of them wear it. ScentMother
Once again the confounded servers and the specter of work keep me from posting to the blog in a regular manner. I’ve been spending the month of June going through a bunch of samples to see if there was anything I wanted to try more of. Tonight we observe a mysterious event I call “The Jicky Affair”. I, like many other Basenoters, was looking forward to the release of the 8th Annual Basenotes Awards. Not only was I curious to see the winners but it would signal the end of Grant’s long nightmare getting the site re-coded. As I would think about the results, based on my SotW, I expected Terre D’Hermes to have a strong showing which it did. Additionally I also expected Guerlain Jicky to do similarly.
