Unfortunately not, the last bottle that was sold from the Oger store happened nearly 8 years ago. I would start in our own backyard first before making drastic measures going overseas You're more than welcome to join me on the journey!

Red, I hate to say it but I think this is a winner! I kind of hoped it was something beneath all of my other favorites but I think it's right up there with Vintage Tabarome, Angelique Encens, Windsor, Bois de Santal, and other Private Collection Creeds. Now I'm stuck on contemplating: should I go out and pursue more of it?

    1. I know that your location is "Spiritually, Kansas", but just curious about the geographical location ... is it "Mar-a-Lago" by any chance?

    2. May I please borrow some IQ from you?

So I hear you're getting into CHEAPIES.
And I'm just sitting here waiting to unload AVON on you.
  8. Yes! GIT and OV are both doable, IMO! Good plan!

But there are OTHER green scents that beckon! Hmmmm. Guerlain Homme - one of my FAVES. MUST SNEAK IT IN!!!!

Well let's see, ahh here's a short list to consider:

Green Irish Tweed, Green Valley, Selection Verte, Feuilles Vertes, Aubepine Acacia, Chevrefeuille, Original Vetiver.

Any of these would work for green surely you have at least one from this list

Perhaps you could throw one on in between or before/after SOTD and SOTE like in the afternoon..a bedtime scent...an early morning scent... a dinner scent. Creed shouldn't be denied a wearing IMO

Another opportunity to splurge on Creed on Friday since there's so many excellent choices to choose from

Givenchy Gentleman (New) - A Haiku For CuddleCat

by Redneck Perfumisto on 4th May 2018 at 06:59 AM

In this thread, where new moderator CuddleCat was announced, as well as my own retirement from moderation, N. CAL gave me an excuse to abuse the haiku format in ONE MORE TIME - so heck - like I'm going to pass THAT one up!

Here you go! -Red

I am inspired by CuddleCat's avatar to continue the theme of the last one!

Gifts Under The Mass Market Christmas Tree

by Redneck Perfumisto on 27th December 2016 at 09:20 PM

(Image stolen from here.)

As I sit here, next to our Christmas tree, reveling in the smell of my Christmas gift - Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo - I have some very pleasant thoughts.

We were discussing, on this thread, the pricing of niche fragrances - Andy Tauer versus Dusita. Dorje123 opined that it was tough to enter the market now as a new, affordable Henry Ford, and I agree. But it got me thinking. A bit off

No Place Like Home

by Redneck Perfumisto on 30th October 2013 at 02:35 AM

I used to say this about Kansas...

It's a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there.

I'm kinda feeling the same way about the new/old site. It seems a little bare-bones at first, but I think I'm going to get used to it.

Yes, it's a bit primitive. Yes, it's a bit old fashioned. Yes, it's a bit like a trip back to an earlier time.

But it's classic. REALLY classic.

And it has

Vintage His and Hers Gift Set

**********

I was on a thread here today, when something hit me.

We were talking about how some very popular men's designer fragrances, much loved at the moment by most of the world, are completely unloved here. These fragrances are nice enough, but they just don't grab anybody's attention in the perfumista world.

I tried to think of

IFRA's Bad Luck

by Redneck Perfumisto on 26th June 2011 at 07:58 PM
.
Well, if IFRA would have been lucky, you would now be reading one of my most well-argued pieces ever written, in defense of their latest video.

Unfortunately, the crashing server ate it.

100% lost in cyberspace. I kid you not.

Is the universe trying to tell me something? Who knows.....

However, I intend to rally to the cause one more time. Come back later - for a link to a re-created version!
