When I was looking for civet pics for your birthday, I had a horrible realization: I'd heard about special, rare coffee made from beans that an animal had eaten and then pooped out... It turns out that it's called CIVET COFFEE!!!! And it really is, honestly, no-fooling, made from beans that a civet ate and then pooped out. It's supposed to taste "musky".... <<< shudder >>>

He he - coffee and civet. It reminds me of the very expensive "monkey coffee," where the beans have *ahem* "passed through" a monkey...

I actually thought of you while shopping this weekend! I was sniffing my way through the city and came across a store that carried soaps from the Fragonard parfumerie in Grasse. They clearly had civet in them! Civet! In soap! Isn't soap supposed to clean you?? Not make you smell worse...

Anyway, I know that you were one of the few people out there who would fully appreciate my horror and my bewilderment at the irony of it all...
