One fragrance that I've loved since I first tried it, but am now just gaga for is Cuir de Lancome. Just bought a backup bottle. So lush, so distinctive. Lately this is the one I could wear day after day. Also really enjoying Aurelian Guichard's stuff. Chinatown, Azzaro Couture, Love in Paris, Baghari. Vaguely thinking of buying Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella. Never really tried the AA's ('Guerlain-lite'), but Guichard did this one, and is cheap, so might be worth a blind-buy
Trying not to go too crazy on purchases. I think it's time to take a look back at what I have. Maybe writing will help me to be content with what I've got. But then again, there's always Futur calling to me... jtd
Glad you're still out there. Sorry so bad about replies. Sort of fell off the world around the holidays & am just getting back on. Thanks for resuming & thanks for reading. Yeah, I've enjoyed writing lately. Just started it for a kick, but really dig it.
It's funny we like the same things. I guess tastes and styles can just coincide. I'll have to try the 2 DK's you mentioned. I've read that signature is fab and it sounds like just my thing. Also, I've always been intrigued by Turin's take on DKNY Woman. Lately I've been all over the map with what I'm wearing. I love cool weather, but we get so little of it in SoCal. I've been taking the opportunity to wear some strong-ass perfumes. Fracas, Knize Ten, Sables, Aromatics Elixir, Heritage edp, Sikkim, Arabie.
Hi, granola. I only know the SL FdB, but I love it. Among other things, it's the ultimate linear fragrance. Never tried bois des Iles, but Jicky, VdN and Bandit are tops by me. And cabaret---too funny! I've written 2 reviews that I haven't had a chance to post, and Cabaret is one of them (the other is Moustache.) I always forget to mention it when I list the greatest inexpensive scents available. My overall take on it is that it's a lily of the valley/musk scent. Killer combo.
Hi, again. Just saw your reviews. We like the same stuff. Chamade is a top 5 for me, and I've been trying to think about how to write about it. And Futur! I was just about to buy it! But now I see that LuckyScent is selling Knize Ten (though out of stock currently) and think I might do that next. And my next scent to write about is Feminite du Bois! Freaky!
Hi. Thanks for the notes and the encouragement! Yeah, ain't EL just great? Private collection is just fantastic. I wrote these reviews over the past few weeks with a little spare time. Will try to do more soon.
