Egoiste/l’Egoiste (Platinum)

by Relent de Chevalerie on 26th February 2010 at 05:36 AM
Spring Festival is over, the Year of the Tiger is back and so am I with this new post about Egoiste pour homme:

I bought this one thinking that I needed to pamper myself a bit. In traditional Chinese culture, people often refrain from doing this, reserving it for others to do them the favor. Spoiling oneself, from what I understand, was regarded an act of egotism. With this in mind and slightly smiling at my silent pun, I, once again, made a blind buy. You’d be perfectly right to

Dune pour Elle

by Relent de Chevalerie on 29th January 2010 at 05:49 AM
Returning from this small hiatus brought the inopportune fact my computer –faithful companion- came to be in dire need of hospital care, I now have the renewed pleasure of adding an entry to this blog.

Reading that some members had tried crossing barriers and wore perfumes intended for the other gender, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, their curiosity and love of fragrances enticed them to explore further then convention would allow! Even though, in comparison to most, I am somewhat

Fragrance shopping in Beijing

by Relent de Chevalerie on 24th January 2010 at 10:50 AM
It seems to me that Beijing has yet to truly begin developing an interest in perfumes. DOLCE & GABBANA

by Relent de Chevalerie on 24th January 2010 at 07:40 AM
I playfully grabbed a small 4.5ml tester the other day. After a shower, I applied some of it on myself and kept wondering why I couldn’t really smell anything.
Frustrating...
Essentially, my plans were to surprise my wife. I had meant to subtly inject a new fragrance in the air as I would have sat inconspicuously next to her… I nevertheless did so and waited a bit, just to see what results would come out of it…

Nothing!

Hearing me mumble to myself that

CK Escape

by Relent de Chevalerie on 21st January 2010 at 02:03 AM
It’s amusing because, with all this, I’m thrown back almost twenty years in the past. Back then, I bought a box of four 15 ml CK bottles. Knowing CK Obsession to be wonderful, I bought this set to try others of the same house. I tried Escape for the first time after I had run out of Obsession, One and Eternity. Left with the last 15ml bottle of the set and unable to find any more of Eternity, I gave it a try in hopes of discovering a fragrance that would bring some changes to my mood. Like most
