Hi Ursula, I hope you don't mind me writing you at "home". You mentioned that one of my posts resonated with you and you thought it would make an interesting topic for a thread.

"One of the best aspects of art is that it creates a communal understanding that unites and inspires. But it can also be plied to divide and stratify."

To be honest, I'm feeling a little self conscious about coming across as the annoyingly overenthusiastic new guy in just my first thread. So, if you don't mind, I'm going to wait a few days until the dust settles with this first thread until I post a new topic.

Thanks for your encouragement. All the BN'ers have been incredibly kind and patient with me. Once again, I hope you don't mind me visiting you on your profile page. I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your message to me in the forum.

Hope to run into you again very soon,

    Hey Ursula!
  10. There is almost nothing I would rather do than to be in touch with beautiful things. Writing about perfumes is one way of living it. Fragrances - I like to read about them, discover them, wear them, experience another dimension while doing necessary tasks (should I say chores).
Evaluating newly found scents, visual images or even music come to mind.

I extend this first greeting to my soul-mates out there.

    Ursula

I wish I could write like that

There is one blog in particular of which I have become an enthusiastic follower. Kafka is the author, at least that is her short name, you will see everything about her in the Section ABOUT ME and her name stems from the idea that her life has been a "Kafkaesque life". Busy all over the world. But instead of me putting it into words, here is the link to her marvelous blog. Each article has glorious photos with the narrative text. The whole website is elegantly set up.

Chasing the past

The nose knows, at least, she thinks she knows. I came across glorious reviews about a line that has been revived lately. The website is as oldfashioned as the store in Paris. But that is the appeal. See this link:

The link shows the Online store - for shopping - but I will get to that. You can go easily to the Home Page and everywhere to look over the website.

Now, let me retract a bit. Originally,
