Not everyone perceives it as cannabis. Maybe you'll get lucky and perceive it as grapefruit + greens or something!

You're welcome. Just watch out because the cannabis note is pretty realistic and does stick around for a while. It smells really good, and except for the social stigma of smelling like pot, is not as challenging a fragrance as it may seem (or as challenging as it is often portrayed).

I still visit infrequently but rarely post. Thanks for noticing
I'm still smelling new stuff, and making new stuff. I don't know about fragrance adventures though :P

Sounds great But yes us Brits don't make big deals out of enthusiasts ey, I'm sure we won't get free goods :P
But there we go! Cool, well, when the US folks have finished talking about their meet and making us insanely jealous I'll start up on ours :P I think a lot of people will be game!... I hope

Well - I'll arrange one then. Say, two days in London? A friday and a Saturday? Early next year after the first pay day - so the start of February?
Pub sounds great - shop shop shop pub shop drinks and then same again the next day Sounds fab!
Yeh receptions and stuff are a no go, I'd rather just walk around and chat and laugh

I'm fine! No special discoveries lately apart from Speakesy, Heliotrope and V for Men I tried almost 2 weeks ago.

Foustie, it is a sight to behold, that is for sure. They take off at day break and you can see them from anywhere in town, but to be at the park at liftoff and just look up to a sky full of those bright colors is magical

Yes, I am definitely enjoying them. The edp bottles are a bit pricey at $140 for 50ml, but I am really enjoying TMs take on immortelle in particular as I have never smelled it presented this way before...

i'm glad you like it. It is one of my regular wear perfumes, on the dressing table and not in the collection cupboard. I like em mean and green.

Okey Dokey. For everyone who asked me to report back, here we are. For everyone who is not interested in this thread, well I would move swiftly on if I were you.

First, a caveat, I am just a keen novice and these are only my views....

..and Sari, I hope that you are here. I have something to tell you!!

Well, I like Iris, and I like Leather, and I was thinking about Iris and Leather together. It seems to me that there is something

Shalimar Perfume Initial

by Foustie on 21st August 2011 at 01:50 PM
I may need to run for cover.

This would have been better posted as a review but Shalimar Perfume Initial has not been listed yet (or I can't find it), and I just can't hold my wheesht.

In my opinion Shalimar Perfume Initial is a very carefully thought out new interpretation of Shalimar which has been made with respect to the original Shalimar and to Guerlain generally. There I have said it.

I think that we sometimes have to remind ourselves that new

The Intriguing case of the......

An Intriguing case for the delectation of Basenotes..............

In the 1970's little schoolchildren all over Europe were encouraged to choose penpals from a list of other little schoolchildren, the objective being that they would learn something about each other. I chose Helmut, a boy from Germany, whom I hope is happy and living well, but my story does not concern him. I also chose a girl from France. Her name was Francoise. Francoise Lelong.

In her first letter
