    H! I lost track fo that thread. One of those weeks (example, it is 8:27 my time and I just got come from work)-UGH.

    The JM boutique was at Heathrow airport. What a treat! We don't have one wear I live but I keep running into JM suppliers, most recently at Nieman Marcus in FLA.
    Have a great weekend!

    Yep, I live in Denver. Weird! Did you enjoy it here?

    There's an unfortunate dearth of fragrance shops around here, though we do have a Nieman's and Saks.

    Hey there!! Yes, I remember our swap! Good to see you here too. :-)

    Wow, thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked it! Looking forward to seeing your reviews around.

    PS if you're looking for something that beautifully accomplishes what I think the Jo Malone was going for, try the new(ish) mens scent from Coach. Just tried it for the first time today, and it was fantastic, IMO. Will have to write a review soon.

    Hi Babes! Luv ALL your musings...not just the one mentioned.

    Can't - however - give you an impression of the lilac in L'Eclat cuz I haven't SAMPLED L'Eclat. Am trying to remember what I sampled recently that had lilac - a fave flower and one that doesn't grow down here. Highland Lilac is reputed to be the most authentic but every time I visit the site they're out of samples!!

    The vintage bottle looks like the one at this link... I'd ask the seller if the bottle is exactly as the photo!

    Ma Griffe 1 oz. PDT

    And in this photo, the new is on the left (a tester) and the vintage on the right. (the colors are truer)

    Warum... the vintage has a kind of deco curvilinear bottle with an emerald green top that is round and about two inches tall, and the new stuff has a rectangular bottle, I think the cap is also rectangular. I have a new tester and a vintage retail one.
    - hope this helps!

    --Kathleen - who thinks you may be able to still get vintage bottles out there.

Yay, this is the first month I stuck to keeping track of all my wears! Whoo hoo!

June 2010 was the first month I really stuck to it, keeping track of everything I wore and sampled.

The results stunned me. I am officially calling my June 2010 "A Month of Sampling Feast" -- I wore 52 different scents in June!!! Some wearings were "researchy" kinds --

I've been trying to devise some sort of "rubric" for putting stars on my samples and bottles of perfume for the wardrobe. When something ranks at 4, this means I am starting to get some of this connection with my mood. When I start getting a connection between the perfume and my mood, that's where usually

Prep for Sniff & Speak

by Warum on 28th June 2010 at 01:26 AM
Wow, it's officially less than a week before the July Sniff & Speak! I didn't order a sampler of greens from the Perfumed Court, but got some ideas for greens from them (from the deluxe green sampler, mainly). I got four samples (plenty for a Saturday!):

- Celadon : A Velvet Green by DSH Perfumes (an aromatic green classified by Fragrantica);
- Botanical Essence No. 1 by Liz Earle (classified by Fragrantica as aromatic, mainly because bergamoth and lavender, I guess);

It probably won't work in really hot weather, but over here.... ah well, I'll stop rubbing it in. I'm off to the valley, maybe it'll
