Have you found any more information on Heartfelt??? It is my all time favorite perfume, and I only have a few drops left!

I'm a 40 yr. old man and feel like I've lost energy but I have not noticed a change in any of my senses. Maybe I should be more observant, the doc said my labs all look good, funny how this whole mid-life "thing" sorta just pops out of nowhere, least for me it did.

I was never a coffee, soda, energy drink or caffeine consumer but now I am trying various such items to see what can get me going without the bad side effects.

I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me. ~Anas Nin

    enjoy the New Year!

Yeah - been pretty busy lately. There was a bunch of other stuff, and then I did a bunch of postings in the Mystery of Musk project. Since then, I've been posting some in the forum and sampling a bunch of things. I have another post due soon, but haven't written it up yet. So bottom line - I'm OK but WAY too busy!
  9. Thanks for the friend request! And for the samples. My wife was ecstatic last night!

...and yeah, Ohio will beat Michigan...again.

Defending Jo Malone

by JeanieE on 31st May 2011 at 02:24 AM
There are not too many kind reviews for Jo Malone fragrances here on BN, I see! (Been reading up tonight as I attempt to log my enormous pile of samples acquired from a lovely SA named Zenaida at the JM store in the Wynn, Las Vegas.) So, I just wanted to sing a little ditty in praise of this obviously very successful perfumery. Within my review of Nectarine Blossom and Honey:
"Like all Jo Malones I've tried, you get what you read in the fragrance's title and not more, so you would be

No. 5 And My Raging (Lack Of) Hormones

by JeanieE on 29th December 2010 at 02:48 AM

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is not a topic I would have discussed with my patients even were I not semi-retired from the practice of medicine. It is not a topic that was taught in mainstream Internal Medicine during my years of med school and residency. It is not a topic that would have even caught my interest, other than to banish it the list of topics we mainstream Internists might refer to as "voodoo"

Patent Pending...Indefinitely?

by JeanieE on 14th October 2010 at 03:08 AM
Having finally perfected, well, at least "finished" a formula with which I am satisfied enough to submit to industry, I received an email from the atty saying they could not copyright my submission. Anyone else with any advice on this matter? I've researched it, and looks as though a fragrance CAN be copyrighted ever since the Supreme Court ruled circa 2006 in favor of Lancome who claimed that another co. copied their recipe for Tresor. Meanwhile, I pace the halls awaiting shipping confirmation

Peace Be With Us

by JeanieE on 10th August 2010 at 03:23 AM
At last. Oh thank you, thank you, you-know-who-you-are, Fellow Basenoter! IT has finally happened. Just as you said.

At a mutually fun location, that is, one that provided enjoyment to both of us, my hotty hubby strolled up behind me as I was whiffing the Bond N. 9 sensation, The Scent of Peace. It was Atlantic City. I had lost track of the time. Standing in the Cos Bar at the Pier Shops at Caesar's, 8:56 crept up on me out of no where. My Baby was getting in a bit of Blackjack to

Got my first, "Oh, Baby. That is too much..."

by JeanieE on 25th July 2010 at 02:30 PM
Oh dear, my deepest fear. As if it isn't enough to have a best friend who is "allergic" to perfume--says it gives her migraines--I have heard dreaded words out of the mouth of my most beloved, my sweet hubby. I think we were on the border of a problem when I first brought home a sample of Creed's Jasmine Imperatrice Eugenie. That is, I could almost literally see him holding his tongue. I could tell it was "too much" for him. But he didn't actually VERBALIZE it. Then.
