Always a pleasure. I hope all's well with you.

I would suggest the following but do try and test them if you can. I would hate for you to buy blind and then not like what you have bought.

Givenchy Gentleman- Sharp, stylish with a hint of the old world about it
Casanova 1725 by Histoire de Parfums- A seductive barbershop fragrance
Rochas Lui- A strong masculine- I would suggest try before you buy- It's more rugged than classy IMO
Heritage by Guerlain- Classy and sharp IMO.
Dolce & Gabbana PH- Very versatile- smart and classy
Esencia Loewe- A pine scent that has class and power
Antaeus- Doesn't suit everyone but very masculine- I prefer vintage as the modern is different
Tom Ford Extreme- Class, power, money, strong.
Van Cleef & Arpels PH- Vintage again is better- Class, strong and a touch of the old days about it
Mark Birley Charles Street- If you like Raspberry this is a great modern scent with mace oil. Strong and classy.

Let me know how you go.

    Best wishes,

    K.

Yep, like others have mentioned your mailbox is still full so I couldn't respond to your PM. In answer to your question though... Givenchy Gentleman is the less sweet of the two, IMO (but seek out the vintage juice if you can as it is far superior, IMO).

Hi Hovo, yes your mailbox is full so here is my answer.
Hello Hovo -- the question of "notes" is tricky. If you can find the website of the perfume manufacturer, that will tell you what they want you to know. If I'm ever in doubt, I look at the website of the perfume company.
But even there, that is not the absolute truth. The perfume company is only telling you what they think you would like to hear and what notes sound "nice". There are things in the scent that they don't tell you, and some of the notes like jasmine or sandalwood may be entirely synthetic constructions rather than the actual essential oil of jasmine.
I use the notes as a guide but I don't worry too much about them. They are a story rather than a list of the truth.

Hi, Hovo. I can’t answer your last pm because your inbox is full. I am not a perfumer, so I don’t think I can be of much help to you, but you can look at the Fragrance DIY board. I think a lot of people there are making fragrances and hopefully you will find some answers there. Best of luck!
