Notes I love
Floral: magnolia, gardenia, night scented stock, rose, lily
Fruity: Raspberry, banana, coconut, (water)melon, peach, apricot
Spices: cinnamon, cloves, pink pepper, anise
Greens and woods: sandalwood, cedar, grass, vetiver, incense
Animalic: amber, musk
I prefer blended and complex scents to those very high on one note or one specific group.
Hence I tend to like oriental florals, floral fruities, floral woody musks, orientals mainly.
I started looking my signature scent among the very limited selection of designer bottles available in drug stores and perfume chains but I did not find my signature there. So when I understood there is a whole lot of big world in niche - I went deep into that and still going deep. It is not snobbery I just smell most designer/celebrity fragrances were either too artifical smelling/too plain or harsh/not lasting long enough. Yet I did not give up finding love there!
