Lovely to sit down with this and all the perfumes on a wet afternoon... I got my copy for 35 quid because it arrived slightly damaged and the sellers kindly refunded me some money. It's a real art book; I love it.

As interesting as it sounds - and as much as I'd enjoy a peruse thru' it - at the asking price I'm afraid I'd much rather put it towards another bottle of his perfumes instead. :)

Thanks for the review. I enjoyed the book very much, not least because it showcases Malle's consistent (and successful) attempts to talk about perfume in a clear, intelligent, accessible manner. You rarely get cooked-up, PR-style nonsense from him.

And I totally agree: the illustrations are superb.
