New Fragrance : Marc Jacobs Dot

22nd March, 2012

Marc Jacobs is to launch Dot, a women's fragrance inspired by the polka dot. The fragrance is housed in a bottle adorned with a polka dot flower-type lid.

Notes in the top include red berries, dragon fruit and honeysuckle; the heart reveals jasmine, orange blossom and coconut water, while vanilla, musk and driftwood are the dry down.

Marc Jacobs Dot will be available as 30ml, 50lm and 100ml eau de parfum spray; body lotion and shower gel.

I think this is worth buying for the mad and crazy bottle alone! Driftwood, though? Dead fish and sea salt?

I simply have no words to describe the awfulness of that bottle and name.

I love that bottle! Admittedly it's a kitschy, tasteless kind of love I feel. Is it made by Tim Burton or John Waters? :p

LOL, it's like a ladybug that swallowed a firecracker or a craft project gone wrong. What's with the name too? Dot? LOL. I gotta admit I Iike MJ scents and bottles a bit..but this one is over the dot, over the top. Lol. I can say that bottle is not made by Tim Burton, lol. Even he's like..wut? Haha.

The notes..kinda interest me, kinda put me off...have to see I guess. Seems like maybe it would be super fruity? Idk.

When I saw this, I had to look at the calender to make sure it wasn't April 1st already.

Nice continuation to the kitch of Lola (although I can't help but having juvenile sniggers about the Freudian aspect of the 'dot'). No doubt the fragrance will sell well to its intended target demographic. :)

Love the bottle and concept. Completely out of left field. Love dragon fruit too. Could be interesting.

+1 for hideous. The Daisy bottle was the only one worth looking at. Then came Lola. Is it a ladybug, a flower or a who-knows-what?

The bottle is so hideous that I can't stop looking at it. Looking forward to seeing it in real life and taking a sniff. It has done its job, lol! :)
