Acqua di Parma is the latest company to launch an oud fragrance with the launch of Colonia Intensa Oud. They describe the fragrance as an "exclusive and elegant fragrance born from the authentic union of the vibrant and enveloping notes of Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa with Oud oil, an extremely rare oil extracted from agarwood, a precious resin of the aquilaria tree."

"Agar di Parma", as this fragrance should be called(!), contains citrus notes in the top; a heart of agarwood (oud), coriander, amyris wood. The fragrance rounds off with base notes of musk and leather.

Colonia Intensa Oud is availble as 100ml Cologne Concentrée for £130.

Really excited about this! I was at the mall earlier today - had I only known! Maybe I can sneak over there tomorrow.

Well it was inevitable they too would jump on the bandwagon. ...

Still, being an agar-luver, I just can't resist them still. ~ And this one at least sounds like it might be using the authentic stuff as apposed to the more usual synthetic substitute (tho' I'll need to confirm this - as most lie about stuff like this), so will be worth a "nose in".

And yes "Agar di Parma" would indeed have been spot-on !

Tried it in Le Bon Marché last saturday. Wasn't crazy about it. the citrus top/heart is too sharp and the oud verges on moldy.
