Jacques Polges on Chanel No. 5

Chanel have released a video interview with their perfumer Jacques Polges speaking about their classic fragrance, Chanel No. 5. In the video he talks about the history of the fragrance, the flowers used in the ingredients, aldehydes, marketing, different strengths and more.

      Of course I had to watch this video with my mouth open . Love the way jasmine is picked. :)

      What I would give to be in that jasmine field.

      Love Chanel No .5 and always will even if it HAS changed through time.

      It must be wonderful to play a part in the history of this iconic perfume. M. Polge speaks with such grace and reverence when he recounts the lore and mythology of Coco Chanel and the creation of No.5. After watching this video, I want to run out and buy some extrait, or the perfume, at the least.

      Thank goodness for subtitles. Very interesting video and fun to watch, he could have gone on and on for hours. I hope they do more videos like this.

      Curious??? J.Polge I had always associated with Christian Dior and not with Chanel. I thought Christopher Sheldrake got the top job as Head Perfumer with Chanel? Any one enlighten me please...
