Burberry and Inter Parfums extend licensing agreement temporarily

12th October, 2012

Burberry and Inter Parfums have agreed to extend the licensing agreement a further three months until March 2013. The contract was due to end at the end of 2012 as negotiations with Inter Parfums to continue developing fragrances for Burberry broke down earlier this year.

Burberry have been unable to find a new manufacturer to take on the licensing agreement so the companies have agreed to this transitional period.

Burberry were in talks with Shiseido's Beaute Prestige International (who create fragrances for Issey Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez) but nothing came of negotiations. Burberry are expected to take production in-house and go it alone.
