Inter Parfums snap up Alfred Dunhill license, promises new men's scent for 2014

07th January, 2013

At the end of last month, Inter Parfums announced that it had entered into a ten-year exclusive worldwide fragrance license to create, produce and distribute perfumes and fragrance-related products under the Alfred Dunhill brand effective April 2013. Dunhill fragrances are currently under license to Procter & Gamble.

Inter Parfums will take over production and distribution of the existing Alfred Dunhill fragrance, with a new menís scent slated for 2014.

Jean Madar, CEO of Inter Parfums said "We are enthusiastic about collaborating with this premier British brand and building the Alfred Dunhill fragrance enterprise into a major aspirational fragrance brand. Upon assuming responsibility for the brand, we will fine-tune the current fragrance portfolio, which includes fragrances dating from 1934 to 2011. The new men's scent planned for a 2014 launch will be supported by a distribution strategy that recognises and utilises Alfred Dunhill's luxury positioning, along with brand-appropriate marketing materials and a media campaign."

Inter Parfums have also recently acquired the license for Karl Lagerfeld, but are set to lose the Burberry license in March.
