Banana Republic to launch Wildblue Noir and Wildbloom Rouge

07th May, 2013

Banana Republic have announced two launches for this Autumn. Wildblue Noir is a masculine fragrance and is described as being "inspired by the darker side of an ocean wave". Wildbloom Rouge is feminine and is "embodies a youthful spirit with a sensual spark for the stylish woman"

Jean-Claude Delville of Drom, who also created Wildblue, Wildbloom, Classic, M and W for Banana Republic, has also created Wildblue Noir for the brand. The fragrance is an aromatic woody scent with a head of Crisp Aquatic and Herbal Notes; the heart is fougere and features 'dewy spices'. Finally the dry down contains Vetiver, Musk, Fresh Ground Coffee Beans, Blonde Suede, Leather and Dark Chocolate.

Wildbloom Rouge contains notes of Green Apple, Sparkling Bergamot, Fresh Clementine, Juicy Plum, Dewy Guava, Magnolia, Freesia Petals, Sheer Jasmine, Water Hydrangea, Warm Amber, Cashmere Musk and Creamy Sandalwood. The fragrance was created by Marypierre Julien.

Both fragrances will be available from September.

What are the odds that the mens fragrance will actually live up to the attractive notes listed here ? I would say slim and none. I imagine it will just be another fresh opening - then mild woodsy dry down fragrance for people who could really care less.
