Carven release Carven Le Parfum

Carven have released a new feminine fragrance, Carven Le Parfum. Designed by Francis Kurkdjian, who wore Carven’s Vétiver as a young man, it is described as ‘an ethereal and feminine eau de parfum with the subtle signature of sweet pea’.

Kurkdjian comments: ‘The Carven woman has an intuitive sense for what’s chic: she’s Parisian, sparkling, bold and impertinent; she leaves no one indifferent. She’s beautiful without even thinking about it.’ He goes on to explain: ‘I wanted to play with the Carven values in a feminine mode: timeless elegance that also seems absolutely effortless. I wanted a fragrance that would resemble a huge bouquet of freshly cut flowers, with temperament and a lingering sillage.’

The fragrance opens with mandarin blossom and white hyacinth, the heart is a ‘somewhat impertinent’ floral bouquet built around sweet pea, jasmine and ylang ylang, and the base notes are white sandalwood, osmanthus and Indonesian patchouli.

The packaging, designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff, is subtly striped with green, in a nod to the Carven tradition.

Carven Le Parfum edp is available in 30ml (£38), 50ml (£55) and 100ml (£72) sizes. Also available are a deodorant spray (£24), 200 ml bath and shower gel (£24) and 200 ml perfumed body milk (£32).
