Chandler Burr in conversation at the Illuminum Fragrance Lounge next week

07th November, 2013

Next Wednesday (13th November), as part of a season of installations and exhibitions on Perfume as Art, the Illuminum Fragrance Lounge on London's Dover Street hosts a unique salon discussion with former New York Times scent critic Chandler Burr on the subject of ‘Scent as an Art Medium’.

Burr is an American journalist, author and museum curator. Since December 2010 he has curated olfactory art at The Museum of Arts and Design in New York City and curated the exhibition The Art of Scent 1889-2012.

Burr will appear in conversation with Editor and fragrance writer Laura Bradley.

Very cool! Sounds like both a fascinating discussion and a great venue - wish I could be there! Hope some of you Londoners go to this.

It's 11am here, we're finalizing the menu for the scent dinner at the Hotel Danieli tonight, and I arrive in London tomorrow. The chef: Ben Spalding. He sounds terrific--looking forward to meeting him.
