Christine Nagel joins Hermès as perfumer

16th December, 2013

On Friday Hermès announced that perfumer Christine Nagel will be joining the company as from March 2014, and will work alongside in-house perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.

The company said in a statement:

In working with Christine Nagel, [Ellena’s] wish is to begin a process of transmission of the philosophy and creativity of Hermès Parfums, thereby establishing the way for a happy succession when the time comes.

Nagel has created fragrances such as Encre Noire pour Elle for Lalique, Narciso Rodriguez for Her, and has been responsible for much of Jo Malone's output in previous years.
