P&G launch exclusive Patou fragrance to celebrate 15 years

by Grant Osborne, 23rd May, 2008

Procter & Gamble's P&G Prestige Beauté are celebrating 15 years by creating a non-commercial Patou fragrance (Coming Up Roses) exclusively for friends and supporters. Created by Jean-Michel Duriez, in-house perfumer for Jean Patou who admits that creating a fragrance to commemorate an anniversary was a tough challenge.

The aim was to create a fresh, modern fragrance, totally in the spirit of P&G Prestige Products. The fragrance is based around Bulgarian Rose, with supporting notes of Ambrette oil, pear, lily and white musk.

Jean-Michel Duriez said: "I think of P&G Prestige Products as the rose and the fragrance ‘Coming Up Roses' as the dew on the petals." And what better anniversary gift than the most timeless flower in the world distilled in a beautiful fragrance.

P&G Prestige (formerly known as Eurocos) was created by Procter & Gamble to group together its Eurocos fragrances (Hugo Boss and Laura Biagiotti) and Giorgio Beverly Hills, which it had acquired from Avon. (P&G sold Giorgio Beverly Hills to Arden in 2007)
