Olivier Pescheux creates Eau de Sens for Diptyque

22nd March, 2016

Eau des Sens
Diptyque latest fragrance is Eau des Sens. The scent was created by Olivier Pescheux of Givaudan.

Eau des Sens contains notes of orange blossom and bitter orange in the top; a heart of juniper berry; and a dry down of patchouli and angelica.

The company say:

The idea is to take a different view of fragrance, a kind of philosophy of softness. The body's softness. A softness of skin so sensitive that the sensuous and spiritual realms intermingle around this fresh, full source. Eau des Sens owes its lively memory to the original way that it is composed.

Each citrus fragrance is taken from the corresponding fruit‘s leaves, flowers and peel to capture its vital energy as a whole. Neroli is not separated from its branch, and it provides extra sparkle and life. And in its zesty orange gleam, a floral scent is always present.

But Eau des Sens is a diptyque adventure, as soon as you think you understand it and possess its secrets, it changes directions and reveals disconcerting woody and spicy facets.

Eau des Sens is available now as Eau de toilette (50ml / 1.7 fl.oz  and 100ml / 3.4 fl.oz) and Perfumed soap (150g / 5.3 fl.oz)
