Bulgari have launched Aqua pour Homme Atlantique; a new masculine fragrance flanker following Aqua (2005), Aqua Marine (2008) and 2011's Aqua Tonic and Aqua Marine Tonic.

Aqua pour Homme Atlantique contains notes of aquatic notes, calabrian bergamot and sicilian lemon in the top; heart notes include marine amber accord; and the dry down features vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood and benzoin.

The company say:

Inspired by the strength, adrenaline and wild nature of the ocean, Bulgari unveils Atlantique - the latest Aqua Pour Homme fragrance. A fresh and sensual scent with notes of Citrus, Sea amber and Wood. The captivating new bottle is in an electric and intense marine blue.

The face of the perfume is footballer turned model Justice Joslin who has previously starred in advertising for Bulgari timepieces.

Bulgari Aqua pour Homme Atlantique is available as 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette now at Macys in the US. In the UK, the fragrance is set to launch on February 20th.

Didn't recall seeing this at Macy's the last time I was there.

Read the article, liked the description and then found out that 'wild nature of the ocean' is presented by an ex-football player turned model. Not so sure any more

I've not kept up with the flankers, but I wore the original when it was released and still think it is an excellent aquatic fragrance.

Will definitely try when I see it in store.

Excited to try this. I'm thinking that intense blue is the colour du jour for men's scents this spring.

Sea amber, eh? Just how many variations can you pull out of an aquatic theme? Will this be the olfactory equivalent of Terminator 4?
