Nagel creates new Eau de Merveilles for Hermès.

17th January, 2017

Hermès in-house perfumer, Christine Nagel, has created a new entry in the Eau de Merveilles family. The new edition, Eau de Merveilles Bleue will be available from March 2017.

Nagel says: “The wonder of Hermès is rooted in childhood, when our eyes are open to the world, and marvel at everything. I marvelled at the pebbles, wet from the ocean; they had such a particular colour and luminosity, and I discovered on them a salty, mineral taste ... ”

The company say:

Like a modern-day fairy, Christine Nagel creates works of wonder. With a drop of azure blue, she illuminates the magic of the ocean and the colour of the sky in an invitation to a waking dream, eyes wide open among the stars.

The enchantment continues with joyful effervescence in a fragrance that is both woody and mineral, washed in sea spray and warmed by the roundness and heat of patchouli.

Life through blue-tinted glasses brings a promise of freshness sparkling with marine surprises. The taste of water on pebbles and the wonder of so many treasures within arm’s reach.

Eau de Merveilles Bleue will be available as 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette

Can be nice, but when I read this makes me wonder if the perfume will have all the poetry from J.C. Elena. I will have to try it.
