Penhaligon's Introduce Hidden London trio

08th May, 2018

Penhaligon's have introduced a new trio of fragrances named Hidden London. The three scents are: Kensington Amber, Belgravia Chypre and Marylebone Wood.

Hidden London : Kensington Amber

Kensington Amber features top notes of bergamot; cinnamon make up the heart of the fragrance; and the dry down features tonka bean, cedarwood vanilla, benzoin and labdanum.

The company say:

Royalty and refinement give Kensington a distinct air.

From Kensington Palace, to the Victoria and Albert museum, the rich history of London is etched in the Royal monuments and Edwardian villas that shape its squares and elegant streets.

In this fragrance the amber notes are truly powerful yet always mastered, well-mannered almost discrete.

Hidden London : Belgravia Chypre
Belgravia Chypre includes raspberry and pink pepper in the head; a heart of may rose and mate; and patchouli and cistus labdanum feature in the base notes.

The company say:

Standing proud between Buckingham Palace and Sloane Square, the well-to-do neighbours in Belgravia are rarely seen.

Distinguished and distinctive, the cream Stucco-fronted Palladian-inspired villas that typify Eaton or Belgravia Square house both embassies and fortunate families.

This is a chypre of the traditional structure. Rich and sophisticated. Bergamot, oak moss, patchouli. As one would expect. Except there is a surprising inflection of raspberry and pink pepper and rose. For London’s more flamboyant traditionalists.

Hidden London : Marylebone Wood
Marylebone Wood contains notes of grapefruit in the top; heart notes include ; and the dry down features cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli and amber.

The company say:

Intimate, characterful elegance, Marylebone, or ‘the Village’ has a feeling of home about it.

A winding lane, Georgian brick houses, Sherlock Holmes’s abode, and the Wallace Collection, as well as its proximity to London’s parks; all are a breath of fresh air.

A particularly sensual modernity gives this woody fragrance its avante garde edge. Dry smoky sandalwood, a mossy vetiver and creamy warm patchouli are used to create a textural masterpiece. For those in the know.

The trio are available now at as 100ml Eau de Parfum.
