Technique Indescrète travels to Jerusalem for latest fragrance

15th September, 2018

At Pitti Fragranze, Technique Indescrète’s founder and perfumer Louison Grajcar was showing his latest fragrance in the Extract d’Emotion range: Jerusalem.

However, Louison only knew last minute he was to exhibit at Pitti, leaving him just one day to arrange stock, travel and accommodation. Luckily the organisers had kept a box of display items he had used the previous year and he was able to create an eye catching stand with the addition of some local flora.

Jerusalem is inspired by the spices of the souks, the citrus and metallics of a working city and the depth of history personified by the burning wood note. The olive wood in the fragrance represent the ancient olive trees in Gethsemane, Jerusalem.

Bergamot, Lemon and Orange feature in the top notes of Jerusalem; Star Anise, Cedarwood, Clove, Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli and Sandalwood make up the heart, and the base features olive wood, burned wood, Benzoin, Tree moss, Vanilla and Musk.

Environmental issues are very important to Technique Indescrète: Louison had no business card to offer, saying that he tries to limit his use of paper — all the information you need is on the website. The packaging for the fragrance is made from Seagrass and the company give 5% of their profits to the safeguarding of bees.

Jerusalem is available now as 50ml Eau de Parfum.
