Michel Girard creates Orange de Bahia for Boucheron

by Judith Brockless, 30th July, 2019

Boucheron has launched a new fragrance, Orange de Bahia, created by perfumer Michel Girard and inspired by gem hunters’ quests for new stones.

The gem hunters were itching to explore new horizons, and they extended their quest into the New World, where stones and smiles glimmer like the sun.

In the hills of Bahia, along the edge of the Amazon rain forest, they tracked down the Mandarin Garnet, a gemstone with the glint of citrus fruits.

The colourful façades, the Samba dancers, the flamboyant sunsets, and the zesty scents of orange finally intoxicated them.

Described as ‘citrus-floral-green, sparkling and refreshing’, the fragrance’s top notes are Brazilian orange essence and green mandarin essence, the heart combines rose absolute with fig leaf and coconut milk, and the base is of white cedar and amber woods.

Orange de Bahia is available at Harrods, at £175 for 125ml

This is a very nice fragrance by Boucheron. Wasn't aware that he also had a hand in Eau d'Hiver by Ex Nihilo.
