by Grant Osborne, 22nd September, 2010

UK: On 27th September 6.30pm – 8.00pm at the Apartment at Kettner’s, Soho. The Fragrance Foundation are holding an Evening With Francis Kurkdjian hosted by Josephine Fairley.

Kurkdjian is one of the world’s most successful perfumers, not only creating fragrances for many of the world’s biggest brands such as Versace and Dior, but also creating global best sellers such as Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier.

He has recently turned his talent to his own perfume house, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, which he launched internationally last year and will shortly be launching in Space NK. Come and hear Francis talk about his working relationship with designers, his thoughts on the fragrance market and how he is inspired to create so many memorable fragrances, not only for designer brands but also for his very own Maison. The multi-talented journalist, entrepreneur, business guru, multiple Jasmine Award winner and co-author of the highly acclaimed Beauty Bible, Josephine Fairley, will be talking with Francis. With their combined fragrance and business knowledge we are sure to get some interesting insights into the workings of the fragrance world. Join us for drinks, take advantage of a relaxed networking opportunity with colleagues, clients and contemporaries and gain some stimulating food for thought from two of the fragrance industry’s leading figures.

I loved the idea and scent of the bubbles, but it was a little to precious. But, I would love it if he had more scents for the home, especially diffusers. Burning papers would make my smoke detector alarm. Love his work so far and he's great to look at!
