Andy Tauer launches two new scents at Pitti

by Grant Osborne, 28th September, 2010

Andy Tauer showcased two new fragrances at the fragrance fair Pitti Florence earlier this month. The two scents are Eau d'Épices and Une Rose Vermeille.

Eau d'Épices is an eau de parfum with top notes of cinnamon, cardamom, clove and coriander with red mandarines; a heart of orange blossom, jasmine, orris root and incense. Finally the fragrance dried down to a woody cistus ladaniferus resin, softened with ambergris, Tonka beans and vetiver.

Une Rose Vermeille (pictured) is part of the homages line, and is presented in a new 30 ml flacon, which was shown for the first time in Florence, September 10.

The notes are described by Tauer as top notes of a citrus chord with lemon and bergamot with a whisper of lavender; heart notes is sumptuous bouquets of roses and violets, kissed by luscious raspberries; base notes: The richness of vanilla, sandalwood and Tonka beans, touched by the elegance of ambergris.

Both Eau de Parfums are available on the Tauer Perfumes website. Samples are also available to purchase.

Any new Tauer release is always exciting, but these two are particularly worthy of the attention of Basenoters... and the new amber flacon looks stunning!

Yes I can't wait to try them. I put in an order for samples yesterday. Hopefully they will live up to all the hype.

I purchased samples of both about 2 weeks ago, while Eau d'Épices is undeniably Tauer, (the sandalwood base) Une Rose Vermeille is simply stunning. Tauer's Homage line is a thing of beauty.

Both are good but Une Rose Vermeille is gorgeous. Love Andy Tauer :)

Like them both, but Une Rose Vermeille is definitely my favorite of the two.
