British Society of Perfumers elect Tim Gage as President

by Grant Osborne, 23rd May, 2011

Tim Gage of CPL Aromas, has recently been elected President of the British Society of Perfumers. The BSP was formed in 1963 with the vision to promote the interests of individuals actively engaged as perfumers and to improve the status of perfumers by seeking wider recognition of perfumery as a profession.

Gage’s first job in the industry was as a Perfumer’s Assistant at Bush Boake Allen (now part of IFF) almost 27 years ago and has been working at CPL Aromas for nine years.

Gage said of his appointment “I feel flattered to have been elected to the position of President. I’m looking forward to serving the BSP for the next twelve months and maintaining the high standards set by my predecessors”.

CPL Aromas has a long established tradition of supporting the BSP. The company’s first Chairman, Mr Jack Pickthall, was a founding member of the BSP and later became one of its few honorary members. Tim Gage is the fourth CPL Aromas Perfumer to hold the post of President.
