Thank you, Grant. Always interested in leather notes.

I read elsewhere this was an edp version, that must be a first for this MPG.

The red leather coat on the bottle reminds me too much of the old Habit Rouge EDP, but it's a nice concept.

What has the world come to when the announcement of a new MPG only garners 3 (ok, 4 now) comments in 2 days? Eek!

Tried it on a paper strip at Fragranze 2011 but didn't impress me that much. I'm extremely fond of MPG but it seems that this one has lost the typical roughness (signature) that made many of The MPG's previous compositions quite unique fragrances. I'll have to properly test it with a full wear before coming with a more precise idea but so far it seemed way too much polished and "civilized" to my taste.

Jean Laporte left...along with all interest in this company apparently.

This one sounds great based on the notes. The interest in MPG has died down with their reformulations, then their temporary supplier problems followed by rumors of the company's demise. Also they have not put out anything new or exciting in quite a while. Bois de Turque was decent but it seems like the company has tamed down all their fragrances. Such a pity. The vintage formulation MPG's were masterpieces.

I received my sample yesterday. The most beatiful leader-fragrance I have ever smelled. Smooth, warm, slightly powdery and a little bit herbal on my skin. Fortunately I don't get the mandarine and bergamotte. This one will be my next purchase and maybe my new signature fragrance for a while.
