Chanel male scents
Egoiste Platinum is my favorite.
I'm gonna go with Tiffany for Men as a write in vote.... Chanel nose Jacques Polge created the scent, and if I'm not mistaken, Chanel owns the fragrance (though not the jewelry company)...
Would have loved to try some vintage Antaeus thuogh....
Allure Homme Sport Cologne Sport: not so obvious. It is a nice cologne with bergamote grapefruit and vetiver... Not quite long lasting but it is a cologne. That's why you get a 5 oz bottle.
I voted for Egoiste, but prefer the Egoiste Concentree version
Several of the Chanel Exclusives boutique scents make good masculines - arguably much better than the traditional masculines on the list. Among them: Cuir de Russie, Bel Respiro, Eau de Cologne, and Sycomore.
Have just made my 3 votes.
If I may ask, what is the reason for this poll (and the other similar ones you've posted on the boards)?
Are you planning on making a purchase based upon the most popular responses?
Allure Homme Sport EDT (silver bottle). I like the combo of the vanilla and the aqauatic. Longeavity and projection are excellent.
The women's compliments when I wear it are an extra bonus!
I speak for myself when I say Im certain no-one here is verbally attacking you afraafra. I didn't read Ruggles post in any other light other than a positive one.
The trouble with such polls is that you will never gather an accurate cross section of answers, particularly when things like, for example, the Chanel Exclusives (as mentioned by Vibert) are omitted from the poll list. I think this is what Ruggles referred to when he said you were mapping the "mainstream" fragrance world.
I have a couple of faves but the all-time most used and most bought would be CD Sauvage, tho in the recent 5 years ive expanded my range quite significantly, all mine are mainstream tho, since i only heard of niche when i joined this forum.
That said, I happily voted for Antaeus and Concentree. As for the Allures, well, they might work well as drain cleaners...
Egoiste and Pour Monsieur are my Chanel favorites for men.
I voted for:
1. Chanel PMC, because a certain five year old girl insists that I wear it when we're together. :engel017:
2. Antaeus, because the grown-up girls like it.
3. Egoiste, because I like it.
I really like Egoiste Platinum.....I for got to vote for PM.....I also like all of the Allures.
Egoiste is my vote.
I voted both here and in the women's thread. I also very much like the Exclusifs line, but I suppose if the point of the polls is to get ideas for things that are readily available in department stores, it makes sense to leave them out.
Go Antaeus Go!
Pour Monsieur, because itīs the best "Chypre p.H." around
Antaeus, because itīs "No 5 pour Homme"
Egoiste, because itīs the beautiful grandchild ot the divine "Bois des Iles"
I didn't know that. I must admit, it doesn't surprise me. Tiffany for Men is everything both the Chanel PMs should have been, but better.
I voted for Chanel Egoiste Platinum. It's just such a versatile fragrance in a way Egoiste just isn't, as it can be too heavy for some uses.
Pour Monseiur 1955 all tha' way!
I only sampled three of those but I've voted anyway. Egoiste, Egoiste Platinum and Pour Monsieur. My favorite by far is Egoiste.
Allure Homme and Egoiste got my vote.
Anteus I don't like, way too 80's
Voted for Pour Monsieur, both the original and the concentree.
Love Antaeus, everyone says it is very 80,s.I was in my prime socialising days in the 80,s and always wore it although I have a bottle now it seems to be a very watered down version of the original. Some of the new fragrances to me smell too girly and flowery and though I dont mind it on others I would rather have the 80,s powerhouse scents.
Someone tell me if I am correct about the strength now compared to 20 yrs ago?
I feel you should learn a little trick !!
On the top left corner is the search function .;)
Use it in advanced mode & search in titles .
Reason I say this is I noticed your YSL poll running as well .
Well .. I have news !! we already have results ..
I ran a poll earlier in the year & yes I checked thoroughly prior to posting it .
Anyway it will be interesting to see who wins it this time .
& do remember that some of us could suffer PB .... poll burnout
Pour Monsieur by a landslide in my opinion.
Hello everyone. This is my first post here as a new member of your community.
I voted for Chanel Allure Blanche. I tried it last week over the weekend. For the time being I have Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Chanel Allure. I went to a perfume store to try other Chanel perfumes. So I sprayed Blanche, Egoiste and Allure Homme Sport on 3 different blotters. When at home, i put them on a table in my room and went to have something for lunch. When i came back to the room, it all was filled with this wonderful smell of Allure Edition Blanche. The smell was so amazing that it made me forgot about what i was going to do. It was like an explosion.
You didn't list the best Chanel for men so I'll inform you what that is:
Would the inclusion of No19 be out of place here....? on the premise of "recent trends"?
I'm about to get this one, and I am stoked!
please see this thread and the surprise about no.19:
Bois des Isle and no 19 and Cuir de Russie could all have got votes as unisex.
1. Antaeus.. -So Elegant and exlusive!
2. Pour Monseuir concentree.. -Timeless, classic, and great longevity..
3. Allure Edition Blanc.. - Nice, modern and surpricing
4. Allure Pour Homme.. -A classic for young and old. Spicy and fruity like only Chanel can do it!
I used to like Platinum Egoiste before, but one day i was wearing it a day after a party on the town..(I bit sick i was) After that, i just can`t stand it! It reminds me of that day, and i almost throw-up vhen i smell it!
My personal favorite wasn't listed - Egoiste Concentree
I voted for just one...
Chanel Pour Monsieur
I voted for Platinum Egoiste, Allure Homme and Allure Homme Sport.
I voted for the 2 versions of Pour Monsieur. They are my favorites. I also like Antaeus, but it is a "wilder" perfume, not as classy as Pour Monsieur.
Egoiste from this resurrected 2008 poll.
