OPI Clubbing Til Sunrise on tips 'n' toes
OPI Clubbing Til Sunrise on tips 'n' toes
Essie Licorice. I'm sort of in love with the idea of black polish with black sandals right now. :)
I changed this morning and now its Essie Steel-ing The Scene. Have to say I got bored with the Deborah Lippman sheer, think in future I will use it as a top coat to add interest to older polishes.
I've been moving, so the nails have been a taking a backseat. Sofie & I did stop for a mani/pedi in Springfield, OH....just before we meet my family for a BBQ. Not only did the mani it not last 3 days, but it was incredibly expensive!
When we got to St Louis, I changed the polish at a local salon to Cajun Shrimp soak off gel.
I'm sporting 3 coats and a clear topcoat of a no-name brand in metallic lime green on fingers.....
I am sporting a patriotic theme in red, white and blue with some tiny stars stuck on the blue.
Butter London Thames
A black polish with a China Glaze Cracked Medallion crackle from their metal crackles collection. Fun!!
I'm in another old Cover Girl color, Electric Blue; sort of a turquoise/peacock blue. I have another blue in the same family, a Nicole color, which is a greener turquoise. I prefer the CG and I'll be bummed when it gets too thick to apply. :p
I'm really liking the blue/turquoise colors right now. I looked at a few of them today at Target.
I painted my nails today with some cobalt blue polish from Sally Hansen ... not sure if I'm going to add my OPI Silver Shatter on top or maybe a coat of DL Across the Universe. :undecided:
Changing polish today so it will be Essie Lapis of Luxury.
Thanks Shades, good advice! :) I think I heard somewhere along the line to roll your polish; I'll *try* to remember that. I just found that Electric Blue is available on ebay, as well.
OPI Paint My Moji-toes Red on tips & toes, an old summer favourite: warm rose/coral red creme.
no-name polish in metallic teal blue on tips
For this morning's pedi I chose OPI Planks A Lot.
I am wearing an OPI shellac called Strawberry Margarita. Unfortunately, it look very matte because the nail tech didn't put a top coat on it. (I think the shellac has a special shiny top coat you are supposed to "finish" with.)
The shellac has been lasting very well through all my packing & cleaning. My home mani's weren't lasting more than 2 days.
About to change my nail colour to Essie Aruba Blue which is a metalic ceylon sapphire blue.
OPI - Hot and Spicy on toes
Essie Really Red
YSL "Orange Flamboyant" on both fingers and toes.
I'm so happy to be able to post here again. Due to crazy security problems I've been unable to get into basenotes for - well - a couple of years?
Just had a mani/pedi and chose Essie One of a Kind, a poppy red.
OPI Tangerini Bikini on tips & toes
Well an oldie but goodie for me OPI Chicago Champagne Toast.
2 layers of Revlon medium pink with a layer of pink el-cheapo sparkly on tips
OPI Midnight in Moscow - "charcoal with a hint of maroon glimmer" on tips & toes. Not the most summery shade but I'm going to a "depression, doom & cigarette smoke" sort of gig tomorrow. :coolold:
OPI Big Apple Red
Essie "Jag-u-are" on tips and toes.
A-Taupe the Space Needle from the Touring America collection.
Another oldie but goldie from OPI Java Mauve a
Essie Fiesta on tips and toes.
OPI "The Thrill of Brazil" on tips and toes.
grrrrr...either I mistakenly bought some kiddies peel-off polish or the bottle is defective. I took some time doing my nails last night in a lovely aqua blue. Today it is literally popping off and peeling in sheets.....
Butter London Macbeth on tips & toes
Essie Demure Vixen, love the name.
broke 3 nails today so cut the rest shorter and painted them a bright coral.
Essie "Buy me a Cameo" on fingertips. Still "The Thrill of Brazil" on toes.
Butter London Bumster on tips
I am all out -- Liquid Leather by China Glaze with its Haute Metal crackles on top.
Chanel "Peridot" on tips. Nothing on toes, the sandal season is definitely over (well, this year it never really came).
OPI - Planks a lot on toes
Still in a mood for "ugly" colours: Butter London mustard yellow Bumster on tips and pumpkin/carrot orange Minger on toes. :coolold:
Acapulco by Mavala
OPI Off with Her Red! on tips & toes, a beautiful tomato red with a vintage feel.
OPI "Chicago Champagne Toast" on tips
Well I am applying today. Nocti(a sub brand of Zoya) Carolyn a deep metalic purple, had this for quite a long time.
Made "mannequin hands" today with OPI Samoan Sand. Nice, for a change, but not a look I'll go for that often, I think.
Made my hands today in Chanel Blue Satin.
OPI Meet Me on the Star Ferry on tips.
Leighton Denny "Forbidden Territory" on tips.
Well, changed into OPI Mauving to Manitoba after a minor disaster.
I removed my polish yesterday and going naked for a few days. Actually waiting on three bottles of Zoya and just know the minute I put on a new on these will arrive. Then it will be okay got take of X Y or Z and put on one of these. LOL
Woo Hoo my Zoya polishes did arrive today. So its Colette a rich warm rust brown with golden shimmer for me.
OPI Rosy Mistletoe-Sies on toes. This is a shimmery magenta red.
My nail technician over cut my toe's cuticle today. She was so apologetic but I reassured her that it didn't hurt.
After a lot of trouble and pain and anger (and thinning) I ended up with three coats of Leighton Denny "Forbidden territory". The color is out of this world, but the application was a nightmare. I hope I just got a bad bottle.
Anyone familiar with this brand?
Did a multicolour mani for a change using Butter London Artful Dodger, Bumster, Crumpet, Minger, Scoundrel and Teddy Boy.
Last time I painted my nails with several different shades was in 1983. This time I did because I just couldn't choose one single shade. I wouldn't do this with outrageously bright shades, though. These BL shades are all quirky and muted and look great together. :coolold:
I had huge trouble with Butter London Branwens Feather, but today I made my nails in British Racing Green, and all went well. Phew.
British Racing Green is one of my favourites!
I finally made up my mind and painted my tips with Scoundrel
