Red Vetyver, Grey Vetiver or LDDM
Well, Aventus is not working for me. Like 6cats said, i am the black hole of scents, where they go to die. I like to smell myself more than 4 hours later. Few scents on me do that. So I am selling my 4 ounce bottle of Aventus (pm me if you are interested) and I will get one or two of the following
Montale Red Vetyver - my experience was great with this, don't know why I sold it. Got the juice directly from Montale, and I dont know if he put extra in it or made it extra concentrated, but it lasted a solid 8 hours on me. If anyone knows what his price is and how to contact them (100ml bottle), let me know. The perfumme shop has it for $120.
Tauer L'Air du Desert Morocain - was my favorite for a couple of years but I burned out and sold it. I now have Chanel Coromandel and if you see my wardrobe below, you may find this to be too close to Coromandel in dry down to justify owning at $125 for a 1.7 ounce bottle (or is it cheaper from Tauer direct)
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver - the safe choice. Not all that exciting to me but probably the cheapest of the three. Wife and daughter did like it.
I have GIT, MI and Coromandel presently. Which one would you pick for next, and then if you had leftover money, which one for #5?
Here is a link to my thread selling my Aventus, if anyone wants to buy it

Red Vetyver. It's the best of three IMO.
I wouldn't pick a fifth from the list.
On a side note, does MI last longer than 4 hours on you?
Re: Red Vetyver, Grey Vetiver or LDDM
From your list I'd go for LDDM. My preferencies on vetivers go in other directions...
Re: Red Vetyver, Grey Vetiver or LDDM
Red Vetyver.
Most versatile fragrance I have. Love it.
Re: Red Vetyver, Grey Vetiver or LDDM
LAdDM is on a different level than GV and RV.

As for Aventus - I don't want to say I told you so, but....... :)
I would go with LDDM.

I haven tried Red Vetyver but, incense isnt really my thing so LDDM didn't really do it for me although it is nice. I would pick Grey Vetiver. Very underrated and one of my favorites

Yes, I am chastised. I went into Sephora today and wore Grey Vetiver on one arm and Gucci Guilty on the other (should have worn Dior Homme). Gave wife a headache. And since it was number 3, it is between Red Vetyver and LDDM.
Is the drydown in LDDM too similar to Coromandel? Is Red Vetyver more wearable and versatile? I am thinking Coromandel is cool and cold weather. MI is all but cold weather. GIT is year round.
