Missing link between Ormonde Jayne's Champaca and Parfum d'Empire's Osmanthus Interdite?
I'm testing these side by side today and to my admittedly uneducated schnoz, they smell virtually identical. The OJ Osmanthus is ever so slightly richer and creamier (Iso E super???) but other than that I am really hard pressed to find any difference between them.
This interests me greatly because I fell in love with Champaca when I tested it about a month ago, but the Osmanthus Interdite is half the price! I know lots of people get a strong leather hit from Osmanthus Interdite but it's quite subtle on my skin. I think perhaps it's giving Osmanthus Interdite the weight it needs to compete with Champaca.
I'm using spray samples I obtained directly from each house.
Anyone else had the chance to compare these two?
