My mother and I were each given a large vial of 5th Avenue some years ago. It has a wonderful balance of sweet and spicy and lasts a long time. 5th Avenue has become one of my favorite perfumes.

I, like many others it seems, bought this at Marshall's for $25 thinking it was a very good deal. First off, now that I am looking it up this seems to be the common price, sometimes cheaper, so not really an amazing deal. Anyway... This scent is VERY floral. Some people might like that. I personally have difficulties with florals. Since I couldn't try it at the store I didn't know but when I got home and put it on it hurt my head a lot and I had to try and wipe it off with a baby wipe after about 20 min as my headache set in. If you are not a person who is sometimes allergic to floral, like me, then you may love it, as it did seem like a nice scent, round and pretty and the right amount of strength. I personally will be returning it. Others may seriously benefit from this Arden 5th Avenue price point though! Worth a try.

Chic and Luminous a lighter and more Whimsical version of the famous New York
shopping center' then the stilted more older and more cooler ice queen Chanel No 5 it almost has a kind of a Carrie Bradshaw feel to it a woman in her mid 30's or 40's who refused to settle down
with a zest for life unlike the jaded
diva Chanel.

There is a nice metallic opening almost
watery with the sweetness of magnolias
and lily of the valley and the spicy sweetness of Lilacs dries to an powdery
accords of violets and delicate rose'
there is an strong note of peach that makes it sweet with the yellow twisted
petals of ylang ylang with it's it's earthy scent.

when first applied to the skin there's an Nutty accord of nutmeg but it fades
in a short time the dry down glows with
warm amber distant hint of plum and Elegant musk.

OK, so my mom gave me a gift card for 25 bucks to Marshalls. I recently got a promotion at work, and will be transferring to another store, so I wanted to treat myself to a new "office scent." I had been used to BIG fragrances, but a lot of my previous co-workers often told me I seemed too tiny for such big scents (I am 5'4" and 105 pounds.) I came across this scent, and it was only 19.99 for a big 4.2 ounce bottle of the EDP. I know a lot of times discount stores end up carrying the bulk of the "failed" fragrances, but I had remembered all the ads for this one, and figured it would be a safe chance to take. I bought it unsniffed, since it was in one of those tamper-proof plastic cases.

At first sniff, I was a bit let down. I was thinking this was going to be less "girly," and more of a clean scent similar to that of Chanel No.5. I got lots of tuberse, lilac and sort of a gardenia. When I read what folks had to say about it though, it seemed like maybe I should give it a fair chance. I sprayed this before heading out to work today....good three to four pumps on my clothing. Well, for eight hours (and counting) I can still catch a slight whiff of it on myself when I move about. It is still a bit more floral than I hoped it would be, but it is somewhat comforting and pleasant. My husband says it smells nice, and my co-workers joked around that I smelled "approachable." It has good staying power.

In fact, I made an impulse decision before leaving work for the night to return to the store I bought it at.....and I got another bottle of it. It is stashed away in my drawer, and even though I might take six months to finish the one I already opened, there is another one ready on hand when it is empty. I think it is the best 19.99 I have spent in a long time.

This smells clean in the muguet-iris notes then I seem to smell a bit of pepper as if this were Pleasures but lighter with a hint of a clean white musk underneath.I like it FBW great for summer.

Very feminine and sophisticated. It's like opening a bottle of spring. I adore it. I am fair skinned so I do have to apply it mid-day, but I do most perfumes.

ive been critical of this scent for being too subtle, as i normally prefer stronger stuff.

i wore this frag as a child, and i bought again, and thought it wasnt strong enough, but the scent takes me back to being young, i wear this during the day

I purchased this on an airplane in January 1997. I was browsing the duty-free catalog and decided this was a good way to spend $35. Goes to show that I've been a perfumista for a while and didn't know it. The spray nozzle was damaged so I couldn't fully enjoy this fragrance until the very end of the bottle. What I did enjoy was a rose-violet scent that does kind of smell like 5th ave after the Easter parade. I would be delighted to purchase this again on another plane ride.
