to my nose this is feminine , floral take on rather genderless iris note, smells clean, vegetal and luxury, very beautiful for warmer days, its very likable, feminine iris...

A luxurious and utterly balanced bergamot/orange cocktail (effectively vaguely anicy/aromatic and bright at the beginning) is the gateway for a strictly balanced floral olfactory combination where in my opinion the note of noble iris is subtle and clearly noticeable just for a couple of minutes before a spicy/balmy (and a bit sweaty/carnal) undistinguished floral trail (with patterns of neroli and may be gardenia) starts to stand out over a mossy dry down. I mostly detect a spicy neroli/ylang ylang accord on the side of the iris while the note of patchouli (classic in its sharp and luxurious link with the bergamot) imprints elegance and stableness to this utterly refined but probably too much stereotyped feminine floral. If i need to feel unmistakably the note of iris on myself would better turn towards some more impressive sheer iris around as Iris 39 Le Labo (superb), Ramon Monegal Impossible Iris, Heeley Iris de Nuit or V&A Bois d'Iris and many others. Feminine, durable and sophisticated.

Beautiful, soft and calming. Will be wearing this scent this Spring :) Got mine, full bottle 100ml, for $3 at Vinnies (a charitable organisation selling 2nd hand goods)!!!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. An iris based fragrance at its prettiest. Iris Nobile is so very feminine and subtle. On the skin it becomes incredibly natural and soothing. This fragrance smells as expensive as it is worth, a delicate and interesting blend of notes which is in no way synthetic or loud. I find that this fragrance could suit any age group, it's versatile and suitable for all occasions, all seasons. The drydown is my favourite aspect of Iris Nobile, the powdery iris and vanilla blend is to die for. However, this fragrance is divine from beginning to end. Lasting strength of this fragrance is excellent, well worth the money in my opinion. One of the prettiest florals I've ever come across and certainly worth all the rave reviews. Iris Nobile gets the thumbs up from me.

A strong and tenacious Orange Blossoms and Tuberose fragrance lying on a Gardenia base. The Iris in this composition it's just a side note that shows up in the middle phase but it's never dominating and remarks its presence with a barely perceptible voice. A well crafted EDP but somehow less, and no match for Iris Bleu Girs, Iris Silver Mist, Iris 39 or Iris De Nuit. Lovely but absolutely mislabelled and a bit (just a bit) stereotyped.

This definitely has iris, but it comes and goes so fast it could make your head spin. Cool, friendly and delicious, it has a nice touch of the AdeP house smell, and that makes it all very all right. I think of Kristen Scott Thomas or Meryl Streep when I smell this. Best on a classy dame who is not impressed by clliches or boundaries or whether she is classy or a dame, thank goodness.. Men? Not really.

Be sure to try both the EDP & EDT before you decide to purchase. Because these 2 are completley different fragrances. The EDT is lame and very light. While the EDP is a real magical stunner! So get the EDP - it's the only way to go with IRIS NOBILE! ;)

Very little iris it seems but an excellent floral chypre of presence.Strong tart, spicey orange blossom and some vanilla. Quite strong and long lasting . Ubuandibeme is right when she compares this to Giorgio of Beverly Hills - I get the same vibe. There are definite parallels but Iris Nobile is more modern and not so loud.Anything likened to Giorgio Of Beverly Hills is not for me but still a quality fragrance.

No way similar to the iris prominent Infusion d'Iris by Prada. If I want Iris, the Prada will be my choice.

I still can't figure out weather this is a masucline of femminie scent.I initally got it because the sales lady @ blumercury told me it was unisex. My bottle doesn't even look like the one pictured.(Mine has a gold cap and a gold label). How ever I find it is extremely easy to over apply this as it is extremely potent.I only wear it on occasions becuase I have this weired feeling that everyone thinks I smell like a lady LMAO :).Last extremely LONG!

I just received the two 1.5 ml samples i ordered of this and I have to say that I agree with MonkeyManMatt and Carl999 on Iris Nobile. The way it was constructed leaves it projecting in a way that's too linear for me. All I get is a star anise note that verges on cloying and too sweet for my taste after a while. While its not bad, IMO it does need a little something else to round it out. Right now it's the middle of a cold winter, so I'll try it again in the summer to see if the heat will bring out any of the notes that others have mentioned that seem to remain hidden on me. I'm not getting the woods or spices. If you don't like your scents on the sweet side, you may not like Iris Nobile, especially in the beginning, but like ubuandibeme said, if you like star anise you could really like this. the sillage is good.
